Keeping your TEDDY fresh

A few simple habits can keep your TEDDY looking and feeling its best for as long as possible.

Vacuum regularly

Give your sofa a regular vacuum using a flat nozzle to remove dust and loose fibers.

It also helps refresh the fabric, keeping it soft, fluffy, and looking its best.

Fluff & refresh

Your favorite spot might need a little extra love after you've been lounging there for a long time.

Give the cushions a good shake and a bit of a “massage” to help them bounce back and keep their shape.

Rotate for even wear

To keep everything wearing evenly, we recommend switching the mattresses from time to time.

Swap the top and bottom mattress or rotate them 180° so different areas get used.

If your sofa sits in sunlight, this helps minimize uneven fading. Even the most colorfast fabrics will fade over time, but rotating the pieces will help slow that process and keep the fading more even.

If you have large panoramic windows, we recommend using curtains to reduce sun exposure.

Spills happen

Spills happen - and when they do, act quickly.

Start by gently dabbing the area with a dry cloth or paper towel to absorb as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing, as this can push the spill deeper into the fabric. Instead, dab carefully.

Next, use a mixture of water mixed with a mild, clear soap, as a clear dish soap, and lightly treat the entire affected area. Afterwards, dab again with a clean, dry cloth to lift the moisture. Repeat this process if needed.

Once cleaned, allow the area to dry completely before using the sofa again, especially if any moisture may have reached the mattress underneath.

If the stain proves more stubborn, the cover can be removed and washed in the machine following the care instructions below.

Cleaning instructions

Keeping your TEDDY fresh is easier than you might think.

The covers on both mattresses and cushions can be unzipped and washed at max. 30°C. Remember to wash them zipped up and inside out as this helps keep everything looking its best.

Skip tumble drying, ironing, and harsh chemicals. TEDDY prefers a gentler approach.

The metal bars just need a quick wipe with a damp cloth now and then.
